Description
The Model FL230 is a voltage-controlled oscillator, producing 0-5V output pulses at a frequency proportional to a voltage or current input signal.  Accuracy is within ±0.25% from 5% to 110% of full-scale input.  The FL230-005 features an operating range is -0.6V to +3.4V, allowing for operation at zero volts input signal.  The full-scale output frequency can be factory-set for any desired range up to 50kHz.

FL230-003: 0-10V; FL230-004: 4-20mA; FL230-005: -0.6 to 3.4V (transmits 0-3V)

Output:

0-5V pulses (logic levels), with frequency proportional to input signal; 0-15V or open collector output available

Frequency range:

5%-110% of 5kHz fullscale (FL230-005 is 10kHz FS), or customer specified range

Adjustments:

Front panel trimpots allow fine calibration of offset and span

Accuracy:

±0.25% maximum deviation from ideal (Fout=Vin/2), from 5% to 110% fullscale input

V/F – F/V pairing:

FL230-003 with FL228-005; FL230-004 with FL228-005; FL230-005 with FL228-007

Connections:

Six wireclamp screw terminals accept wire sizes from 24-14 gauge

Mechanical:

2.9″ x 3.1″ x 0.9″ plastic enclosure; mounts on standard 35mm DIN-rail

Power:

Unregulated 18-30VDC at 25mA max
