MODEL 664 DUAL CHANNEL DYNAMIC STRAIN GAGE AMPLIFIER MODULE
Description
The Model 664 is a two-channel computer-controlled dynamic strain gage amplifier module. The following parameters are displayed and are adjustable: gain, zero, external cal, filter, excitation and excitation monitor. Each channel has its own isolated constant current excitation source.
Specifications
Amplifier channels: | Two independent AC-coupled channels |
Gain settings: | Fixed log steps 1, 2, 5,10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 |
Gain accuracy: | ±1% |
Frequency response: | Six-pole Butterworth lowpass, selectable at 5kHz, 20kHz, 40kHz or bypassed; 5Hz highpass, single pole |
Bridge mode: | ¼ bridge dynamic mode; selecting 0mA disconnects excitation, leaving AC-coupled differential amplifier |
Excitation: | Excitation sources isolated from amplifier output common; programmable from 1.0-25.0mADC in 0.1mA steps; up to 12.5VDC compliance voltage available |
Excitation monitor: | Loop compliance voltage is scaled 50% and routed to amplifier output so external DAQ can calculate loop resistance |
Fault indication: | One green LED per channel turns red if amplifier exceeds ±10V |
Memory: | On-board EEProm stores serial number, calibration date, etc. |
Mechanical: | 5.5” x 13.5” board, used with Model 5020-102 rack |
